A really enjoyable way to experience the old town of Bari in a small group. Our guide, Charia, was delightful. Professional and knowledgeable, with more than a dash of wry humour! The walk took in many of the beautiful aspects that we would never have found on our own. We were treated to some delicious foccacia, a lovely surprise! The pasta-making was a real insight into the locals and their traditions. Our host received us warmly into her home and it was great fun. We really enjoyed the whole experience and would highly recommend it.
Six of us went on the tour. We docked in Bari while cruising on the Viking Star. They met us about a 5 minute walk from the ship. They then biked us to the office to take care of payment. The smaller intimate group was excellent. The guide and drivers were excellent. Perfect English. We said this was the best part of our trip because we got away from the big bus tour thing.
Good overview of the various highlights of Bari Old Town. Good duration. Free Gelato at the end was a nice treat! Make sure you buy some orecchiette from the famous pasta Nonna.
